Important update on the story with the hosting provider that previously blocked AI bots from accessing websites.
After almost two months of back-and-forth with their support team, the provider has revised its security module and opened up access for bots of generative systems such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and other models. This means that not only our clients’ websites, but all projects within this provider’s infrastructure are now accessible to neural networks again and can potentially be used as sources in generative answers.
For us, this is a small but very telling victory: persistent feedback has led to a configuration change at the level of the entire hosting environment.
This case once again shows how infrastructure decisions on the provider’s side directly affect both GEO and classic SEO – and how important it is not only to optimise websites, but also to monitor their accessibility for AI bots.
